"My second bar show in a row could have ended in disillusionment on my part. I mean, it really did seem that I had very few people's attention, and the rumbling of voices continued throughout my set. The PA was absolutely blasting, much louder than it needed to be, so I barely had to open my mouth to be heard. I couldn't hear myself in the monitors very well, which was by then a recurring theme, but I knew the crowd could hear me okay.
I'm making this sound worse than it really was, though—people were extremely complimentary after I played, perhaps one of the most vocal responses yet from audience members. And the outstanding veggie burgers they fed Jeremy and I at Broken City really were top notch." -Jack
