"On the first night of my self-propelled, car-less tour, Heidie set up a show for me at her house in the hills of Astoria. The accompanying Rage Against the Machine-style local band were well-intentioned but quite out of place alongside Travis and I with our acoustic strumming. ('From Florida' was a name I bestowed upon them, as they were both from Florida.)
The cute girl I'd seen at the co-op during my wandering afternoon didn't stick around for my set, nor did a lot of the folks who showed up. The tiny crowd who did stay seemed to enjoy us, though. I think this was the first time I played 'her zoom lens.'" -Jack
