"Kate in Bellingham set up this show for us, but I guess everyone was studying for finals that night—even people she called as we were about to perform had excuses—and so we played to a crowd of less than five. The local woman who was supposed to perform with us didn't even show up. (Kate described her as being unreliable.)
All of this added to it feeling like I was alone in my room practicing, which was nice in its own way. Only a day into our outing, Jonny, Matthew and I already had a bunch of inside jokes—like our new acoustic genre, inspired by Kate's flyer—so we had a good time despite the setbacks." -Jack
